- How far can I ride with an e-bike?
The range of the e-bikes is between 80 and 150 km, depending on the model, riding style and terrain. Our NOX Cycles e-bikes are equipped with powerful batteries (625–750 Wh) that allow for long tours. - How long does it take to charge an e-bike battery?
A full charge takes about 4–6 hours. If you are planning longer tours, we also offer spare batteries or mobile chargers for rent. - Do I have to charge the e-bike myself?
No, if you rent the e-bike for one day, no charging is required. For multi-day rentals, we will provide you with a charger or a spare battery on request.
- Do I need a helmet when riding an e-bike in the Zillertal?
In Austria, there is no general helmet requirement for e-bike riders over 12 years of age. However, we strongly recommend always wearing a helmet. We provide a free helmet rental with every booking! - Am I allowed to ride an e-bike on hiking trails?
No, riding an e-bike on designated hiking trails is not permitted. However, there are numerous marked mountain bike trails where e-biking is explicitly allowed. - Are there special traffic rules for e-bikes in Austria?
Yes, for e-bikes up to 25 km/h the same rules apply as for bicycles. This means:
✔ Riding on bike paths and roads is permitted.
✔ No alcohol while riding (max. 0.8‰).
✔ Lighting is mandatory at dusk and at night.

- Can I cancel an e-bike reservation?
Yes, cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the rental. A fee of 30% applies for cancellations within 48 hours. - Can I extend the rental period afterwards?
Yes, as long as the e-bike is not already reserved, you can easily extend your rental period. Simply contact us by phone or WhatsApp.
